Yoga and Meditation

We teach Kundalini yoga and mediation. Yoga means union; union of the mind, body and spirit. Kundalini means awareness; awareness of the fullness of life that is in and around us. Meditation is a practice that quiets the mind bringing about clarity and inner peace.

Yoga promotes mental focus and the ability to act with intention rather than re-act to situations. Yoga conditions the body, internal organs and glands, promotes proper elimination, strengthens the physical body and much more. Yoga promotes an overall sense of wellbeing and joy. Our main focus is on the breath. We know that the mind follows the breath and the body follows the mind. So, if the breath is calm the mind and body follow and a total state of peace, joy and harmony can be achieved. Yoga and mediation is a tangible strategy that can be applied in any situation and almost anywhere to maintain inner peace in all situations and challenges.

 

During our meal sessions we teach simple concepts of eating organic products, soy and tofu products, healthy snacks that don’t make us tired and lethargic, eating green vegetable sources daily, naturally sweetened desserts, herbal teas, making natural juice drinks with vegetables and fruit, the importance of drinking water and more…we also teach basic recipes simple enough to prepare and gratitude for all we have.

Sacred Nutrition

We introduce different possibilities of foods to eat. We learn about what happens to our bodies when we eat foods that are not healthy for us and we learn to make choices with more awareness. We also address the issue of substance abuse and what happens to your body.
